Get Rid Of Belly Fat
One of the most common goals I hear is to lose belly fat. Which makes sense considering that is one of the most common places people store fat. And I’m with ya. My belly has always been my biggest insecurity. On top of having belly fat I was always bloated which made my belly even bigger. When I changed my diet and stopped overeating the bloating definitely got better but the extra fat around my belly appeared even more obvious.
A common misconception is that doing more exercises involving the muscles beneath the fat will reduce fat in that area. But movement is caused by muscles, not fat. After a tough workout the muscles are sore, not fat. Strength and endurance can definitely increase with more exercise. Muscles can get bigger with more exercise. But fat will not disappear necessarily because of more exercise.
Having some fat is essential for having a healthy body. It helps protect the organs and reproductive system. Too much fat can increase risk of disease. Unfortunately, we cannot choose where to lose fat. To lose fat, anywhere, requires losing fat, everywhere. Doing a 1,000 sit ups everyday for an entire year is not going to decrease fat around the belly but it will increase abdominal endurance which is something anyone can benefit from.
